No, you will need to remove the prior stain first. For help with this, post some pictures in the comment area.

We have a new cedar deck going in and will be exposed to sun, wind, water from being on shoreline of Lake Erie. I am about to order Amteco Division of Gemini Industrie 1501 Cedartone VOC Stain from Amazon.ca to cover my cedar boards for the 1st time. Is this the product you would recommend?

Only the TWP 200 Series. We ship from the US. As long as you removed the previous coatings, you can use the TWP.

I have used TWP 303 on my bamboo fence in the past and it is time to do it again. I noticed on your web site there is no reference to TWP 303. What product do you recommend. I think your product is great
The 300 is correct for bamboo but we do not sell it. it is also not allowed in Canada due to VOC regulations.

Any updates? You might ask the Canadian Government whether they should hurry up and approve the low-VOC stuff, or if they prefer we can smuggle in the nasty stuff…their choice…
Please tell us it is soon available, as it is season to stain our deck…. I cant believe the bureaucracy of our government. I guess they would rather we drove across the border and support the US economy for a visit and purchase. Dumb Canadian Government eh? Thank you Cdn govt, for protecting us from the world and being the Conscience of The Universe.

The Canadian government has to approve the registration for the TWP to be classified a preservative. This was submitted to them over a year ago. No idea as to when they will at this point.
