I would clean and brighten for the prep and apply 1 coat of the stain this time. You would need about 6-8 gallons.

Have a large, ceder deck that is supported by 6x6 posts. Main deck is 12' x 50'. Second deck is 8' x 8'. One set of stairs that walks down one level.

How much do I need and how many coats are recommended for initial application?

    Thank you.
