I'm very satisfied with my result, after many days of research I found this product which I did not know that existed. Easy to apply, used garden pump and a dollar brush.

For 1 coat it will be enough. For two coats you may need and extra gallon or two.

TWP is a semi-transparent oil based and cannot match or be applied on top of a solid color stain.

    1. Does not match solid stains
    2. One 5 gallon pail would be enough

You need to remove the solid stain completely if you want to use TWP.

I will strip, prep and re-stain my 12x16 pressure treated pine deck containing five (5) steps, eight(8) 4x4 rails, and forty-eight (48) 2x2 rails. The rails are supported or connected to 2x4\'s on top and bottom. My residence is in the middle of Georgia. I realize the oil based TSP 100 and the solid color acrylic cannot be an exact color match.

    Questions:
    1. Which TSP 100 color best matches the Sherman Williams DeckScapes® Exterior Acrylic Solid Color Deck Stain in the color Cheyenne Red?
    2. How many gallons of TSP 100 will cover my deck for two (2) coats?

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

    Regards,
    John C.

You would want to use the Safe Strip if there is still some stain left over. If all the Marine stain is gone then use the Gemini Restore A Deck Kit.

I used Penofin Marine Oil Finish 1 year ago, and my deck is gray looking again after the long harsh summer we experienced here in NC. I want to redo my porch and deck with TWP 100 instead this year, will I need to apply a strip such as TWP Solid Strip before applying the TWP Product?

Also if I use the strip product, will I still need to apply a deck cleaner product such as Restore-a-deck?

    Thanks
