I'm very satisfied with my result, after many days of research I found this product which I did not know that existed. Easy to apply, used garden pump and a dollar brush.

I have a 1 year old pressure treated new fence that has never been stained. I have power washed it and it is in excellent condition. It will be in direct blazing sun and it will have algae/mold on it in the future. We have a rainy season that will make it grow algae/mold. The fence is 312 ft x 6 ft. total including both sides of the fence. I want the dark walnut color. I am hoping for 1 coat. Which stain do you recommend and how much?

As suggested in previous answer, use the 1500 series. For one coat you will need about 12-15 gallons.

Look at either the Dark Oak or the Black Walnut in the 1500 Series.

I just sanded my deck... can apply TWP 100 directly to the sanded surface or do I need to use restore a deck kit?

Prep after sanding with the Gemini Kit to remove and dust and open the grain of the wood so the stain absorbs deeper.

    J Hyland:
I have new cedar fence. I bought the 101. The can says wait 6-12 mos before staining. On line surface prep directions from twp say wet wood twice, let dry minimum of 48 hrs each time before staining. What is the recommended surface prep for new cedar wood?

Best is to use the Gemini Restore Kit for the prep before staining. You will get better results.

I am going to use TWP 101 on a year old pressurized but untreated fence. I need an estimate of sq ft/gal
for the first and also the second coats. I plan to brush but is there a significant difference in spraying?

You can spray on the first coat then back brush the second coat. This would be the easiest way to apply. Coverage of the first coat is about 150-200 Sq. feet per gallon. Second coat is 200-300 sq. feet.

    Leslie J:
Can we store any remaining stain to be used the next year when we do annual maintenance on our deck? Our deck is not that large so we will have some left over if we buy the 5 gallon can. I've heard that some stains will not keep once opened so it's best to buy only as much as you will need for that application.

    FRED GRZESIAK:
YOU SPECIFY AIR TEMP OF 45-95 DEGREES FOR APPLICATION OF BOTH RESTORE-A-DECK CLEANER AND TWP STAIN. WHAT ABOUT THE SURFACE TEMP?
MY DECK IS IN FULL SUN.

    That does not matter.
