I'm very satisfied with my result, after many days of research I found this product which I did not know that existed. Easy to apply, used garden pump and a dollar brush.

Tell me about your Clear 100 (No UV Protection) product. I want that wet cedar look on my one year old all cedar deck. Would you recommend this, or your Cedartone 101? What would last better? Deck is on the north side of my home. Most sun is June, July, Aug. I live in MN.

The Clear does not change/enhance the color and will not offer UV protection. Honeytone is the closest to a look that is wet look. Cedartone is slightly richer.

I love the TWP 100. Wish it came in more colors. I used the Cape Cod Gray but now want to change the color to Dark Oak. Will it cover the gray?

Sorry, but no it will not. You will have to strip off the gray if switching to a different color. Look at the Restore A Deck Stripper Kit.

    1) can I stain now?

I've got a new 6' cedar fence that has been installed for about 2 months that I want to stain / seal. What is the difference in your 100 and 1500 products besides price? Thanks.

    David Davenport:
Just had my deck refurbished. The deck is on the south east side of my home which gets sun all day. Which stain is best for my application? I want to use semi-transparent with the most UV protection. Please advise.

Refurbished? As in new wood or just prepped? New wood needs to weather for 4-12 months and be prepped before applying the TWP. As for the stain, you would want the 100 series if allowed in your state. If not, you will need the 1500 Series.

    Fred Wilkerson:
I have used your product previously on a deck at my mountain home in WV. Time to do my deck in Charlotte NC. Thinking that TWP100 would be the correct product. Is there any reason not to use this product. My deck is roughly 40' by 14'. Will two 5 gallon buckets cover that area?

Yes you would want the same product. Make sure the prep is done correctly. Coverage varies if you have railings, steps, etc. Please use our calculator to the right of this page to help determine amount needed.

    Kent Lundberg:
Last fall we installed new pressure treated decking and coated it with TWP-100. It has slightly grayed and only beads slightly. Other than a quick power washing, do I REALLY need to do any other preparation before adding a new coat of TWP100?

Just make sure that the wood is clean and you should be okay to stain since it was done just a year ago. Using the Gemini Restore Kit is needed if it has been 2 years or more since last application.

Our deck is 11 years old and never been weather sealed, painted or stained. I am currently pressure washing it to clean it. It gets a fair amount of sun except for next to the house which will become blackened, slick with the green mildew. I am thinking of using the 100 gray. Would a 1500 product be better?

Both Series work very well. The 1500 is not a better stain, but is as good.

    Thanks!
