Did you stir the gallon evenly?

The Sample I got of Cape Cod Gray gave a semi transparent result. Just what I was looking for. The gallon I ordered can only be described as solid color and very blue in tone, nothing like the color in your website or the sample. Did I get a bad sample or bad gallon?

I would use the TWP 1500 Series for the home. Trim pieces could be Black Walnut or Dark Oak. There is not a gray brown mix but you could use the Cedartone color for the shingles. Please order online if interested as we personally do not have any dealers in Charlotte.

I\'m building a new timber frame home in NC. The exterior will be all cedar; shingles for siding and verticle corners/beams will be 8\" x 8\" cedar. What TWP product would you recommend in my part of the country? We also want the stain to be very dark on the trim pieces and all verticle timbers and a gray/brown mix for the cedar shingle siding. What colors do you recommend? Also, where can I buy it near Charlotte?

    Thanks!

Not sure why it was thinner but It is typically very rich in color.

If I have some stain leftover in an opened can, how long is it good for? How about if I have unopened cans?

I was sent a sample of the Cape Cod Gray and wondered why it was much thinner and had far less pigment than the other samples of Honeytone, Rustic, etc. One coat, after application and drying time was barely a shade different than the woods original color. Does the Gray require more coats to get the desired color?

I am having an architect design an entry pergola and colonade breezeway in pressure-treated pine.
The home is a block from the beach in Florida -- getting a lot of extreme sun. It is supposed to look asian influenced with a rich Indonesian stain. What product do you think would be best? The 100 series (in dark oak) or the 1500 series in dark walnut)?? Thx!! Regina

Can the TWP be reapplied as needed every few years?

Both would work well but TWP 100 Series is extremely popular in Michigan.

I live in Michigan and have a cedar deck that I used Cabot\'s Semi-Transparant Stain on. Most of the stain is gone only after 1 year and I probably did not prepare the deck surface properly. So what TWP Product would be better for Cedar Wood, your TWP 100 or TWP 1500. You can ship either one to Michigan
