VOC (Volatile organic compounds) regulations are changing rapidly across the USA and Canada. Not all of the stains that we sell are compliant for all areas. As it stands 16 US states and Canada have adopted the more stringent 250 regulation:

TWP 100 Series and TWP Semi-Solid Pro-Series is not VOC Compliant for Canada and these USA states and cannot be shipped or used there: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Northern VA, Pennsylvania, Parts of Arizona, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, all of Canada.

TWP 1500 Series is compliant for all 50 States but cannot be shipped or used in Canada.

TWP 200 Series is compliant for all 50 States and Canada.

I see that TWP 100 is ok for TN but still would like to know the difference between TWP 100 and 1500. Is it just ingredients? Is one better performing than the other?? I will be staining a brand new deck.

New Doug Fir Deck in southern Idaho. Hot, dry (with low humidity) summers, cold, wet winters. My deck is in full sun during summer until about 3pm. I'd like a stain to help lessen graying, but still see the woodgrain. I'll be retreating every 2 years.

I don't want to change the natural colors of the Clear Cedar if possible. Is there a clear stain ?
      • We will reply to your comment shortly
        TWP Stains · 08/20/2018
Yes, but clear will not prevent UV graying. It must be tinted to offer UV protection.

Use the TWP 100 Series. Honeytone is the lightest tint.

Can you ship TWP100 to Easton Maryland (21601), and if not, can ship to Cambridge Maryland (21613)? Also, do you have any retailers around here that sell your products such as Lowes or Ace Hardware?

TWP 100 is not allowed anywhere in MD. You will need to TWP 1500 Series and we ship to you from our website as an online dealer.

Applied TWP to cleaned and prepped 10 year old deck 2 months ago. Seems to have faded a little. Area most affected is in direct continuous sunlight. Is this normal?

I was told even though I am in CA, I live in a county that permits higher VOC's, Madera County, 93644. True?

Possibly but to be safe we only send the 1500 Series to CA as it is not worth the fine.

Just put up a new redwood fence. CA. Don't really want it to look much darker/redder as the deck and house are actually stained brown. What is your suggestion for color in the 1500 series? Is there any way to get a small sample?

There is TWP 102 Redwood. They must mean that.
