Do you have any twp dealers in Bozeman Montana?

If not, can it be shipped to Montana? We have lots of wet snow here, and my deck needs refinishing.

Kim, clean and brighten the wood with the Gemini Restore Kit for the prep. Stain both deck and fence with the 100 Series.

ksprangers, you can apply now after prepping the wood correctly. No need to shake, just stir for a few minutes.

Hi -- I have a back deck, NW side of house, with 132sf exposed and 182sf screened/under roof. Gets almost zero winter sun, prone to mildew staining. Summer it gets late morning through evening NC sun and humidity. I do not believe they were previously treated, although could have had a translucent stain applied; built 2009.
Do I use 100 or 1500? What do I use to clean since unsure about prior finish?

I'm having a new wood fence installed this week and will want to treat when it has dried; treated lumber, pine I believe, about 726sf, back yard also.
Would I use 100 or 1500 on that since is new?

Again, that's NC heat and humidity.

    Thanks!
    Kim

I have a pressure treated pine pergola, that we built last October. We're located in southeastern WI. I've ordered and received 2 gallons of 100. Some questions.

    A) Should I let the wood weather longer before staining?

    B) When would be best to apply the stain?

    C) Is there any danger in letting the stain sit in the cans until the proper time?

    D) Can the stain be shaken at the hardware store for mixing?

    Thanks.

I will be building a new elevated deck soon. It will be elevated. I will use pressure treated wood, species is still TBD. I'm not sure I understand the difference between the 100 and 1500. The 1500 is labeled as "best." I'm not sure what that means. Can you help me decide?

Rj, yes as it neutralizes the cleaner. Your stain will perform better.

    TheSealerStore:
rj, you are correct on the steps for the prep. Stain with the 100 as it penetrates a little better and will have a less chance of wearing from the dog.

Thank you...one last question. Do I need to do the brightener step if I'm going for a very dark stain such as TWP 103 Dark Oak?

I have a new deck with pressure treated pine (installed last fall) that I need to stain/seal soon.
The deck gets full sun and is covered with snow for several months a year (northern Michigan).
I want to use the cedartone semi transparent but don't know which product to choose the 100 or the 1500.

I've done so much research and everything leads me to TWP.

    -Portland, Oregon
-Fantastic sunny summers, very wet winters
    -Cedar deck I believe
    -west facing deck, no shade
-dog traffic courtesy of the semi-famous "Sky the Dog" (twitter: Sky_The_Dog)

Nothing has been done to the deck since we moved in 4 years ago. Much of the old semi-transparent stain is gone on the horizontal while much still remains on the vertical. Some rough areas of wood like splintering and such.

I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, the proper procedure should be:

Strip, sand, lightly pressure wash, brighten, stain then apply 2nd coat right away (wet on wet). Is that correct?

and now the big ?....100 or 1500 given my situation/conditions? Thank you so much for putting out a great product!

I have a new pressure treated deck less than 2 months old in Atlanta GA. It gets very little shade only in late afternoon. Which would be better TWP200 or TWP1500.

I have a pressure treated deck whic was treated with Sikkens. I want to switch as I'm not happy with the results. Should I strip the weathered stain and if so what would you recommend?

Where can TWP products be purchased?

Clear will not prevent graying. Best to use the 1500 series. The Honeytone is the lightest color.
