TWP Semi-Solid Pro Series Stain and Gemini Restore A Deck Kit Combo Pack

This Combo Kit comes with both 5 Gallons of TWP Semi-Solid Pro-Series and the Gemini Deck Cleaner and Brightener Kit for prepping your wood.

1 Gemini Restore A Deck Kit

Restore-A-Deck Cleaner and Brightener system is a powerful "eco-friendly" two-part restoration system.

Step 1 Wood and Deck Cleaner that deeply cleans your wood to remove dirt, grime, mold, algae, and general graying. The cleaner will help prep neglected wood and or prep for re-coating with a wood or deck stain.

Step 2 Wood Brightener is used after the wood cleaner to "brighten" the wood while neutralizing the cleaner to a natural pH balance. This step will improve the overall appearance of your wood while helping the wood deck stain longevity.

The kit covers 750-1000 sq feet when mixed.

Project is in North Carolina and we have a pressure treated handicap ramp built 2 years ago that was never finished or sealed.  We were thinking of using Semi-Solid in Thunderstorm to match the building colors.  Not sure if that is best product?  Ramp is 6'wide x 75' Long.  Additionally, not sure if any steps or products are required before we stain it so looking for advice please?

Use the Gemini Kit for the prep. The semi-solid would work very well here.

Does TWP come in a non skid? If not is there an additive pkg to put in the stain

TWP is a penetrating stain. It is not possible to add a non-skid additive to a penetrating stain.

I've just stripped & sanded with 60 grit my 14 year old Wisconsin deck of the Rustoleum 6X Rocksolid deck coating. I am now going to apply the semi-solid Cabin Fever. Do I still need to use the Gemini Cleaner/Brighter before the stain is applied? Surface is now clean and bright so wasn't sure if the Gemini products are really required.

Yes, it will help to open up the wood pores so the TWP can penetrate deeper into the wood grain.

do twp semi-solid need a sealer?

No need and you cannot apply a sealer over a deck stain. It would peel if you did.

Deck is 3 years old the attached photo is the current state of deck. Recently started having deck screws breaking. Deck is in direct sunlight all day. What would be the best stain for all day uv?

Does the calculator estimate of stain needed work for new PT deck when you recommend one coat?  We have 1050 sq ft of PT pine deck that's been down about 6 months.

The calculator is for two coats applied wet on wet. When doing one coat use 2/3 the amount the calculator shows.

Put on Behr Deck Over 8 years ago. Deck is over 15 years old, was not taken care of, is weathered, cracks and etc, on East side of house receives sun and shade. Have pressure washed, what is best way to remove the rest of it. Is TWP Pro Semi Solid Wood Stain best to use after using cleaner and brightner. Live in Missouri. Thanks

Berh Deckover will have to be sanded off to remove fully. Once removed, the TWP semi-solid colors would work great!

I stained a small shed with dark oak, #103 It is time to restain. I want to use a dark colored semisolid stain this time.  If the semisolid and 100 series stains have the same penetrating oils, why do I have to strip the dark oak first? Is it an adhesion issue or a color issue?

Older deck that now needs some hiding qualities because of filled screw holes, repairs, etc.....Does this product have any hiding qualities?
    • We will reply to your comment shortly
      TWP Stains · 04/05/2021
Yes, it is a semi-solid, so it hides most of the grain but not all. Make sure to prep by removing any previous coatings.
