Great way to try TWP colors before investing in a larger quantity!

Is the TWP 1500 Clear less UV protected because it's clear?

The Clear will not provide UV protection from graying. All of the TWP colors will.

I would like to order samples to decide color to use next spring for a deck just installed. Do I need to let my test boards (for color choice) weather before I stain? Don't want to have the color be different when applied to weathered deck after the waiting period.

If the deck is weathered and your test boards are not, then yes the color will be slightly off.

I tried 3 samples of 1500 in an inconspicuous place in my deck and have settled on the color I like. Can those samples be removed using a stripper? Deck is newer pressure treated lumber and this will be the first application

    Yes they can:

    John McCabe:
I have samples of your TWP115 wood stain. I like the color but it seems to have a glossy finish. Is this color available in a non glossy finish? It can be an oil type or matte finish. If you have it available, what is the code. Thank you, John

TWP is not a glossy or shiny stain at all. It is a matte finish with no gloss. If it glossed on you then you did not prep correctly and or over applied so it could not properly soak into the wood grain.

    Tim Toews:
I have 2 log cabins. one is stained with Super Deck "Valley" and the other with Super Deck "Canyon Brown". I want to get TWP samples that are the most likely to match those colors. What should I order?

I am sorry but we are not familiar with their colors. Just an FYI, to use the TWP you will need to remove any previous coatings first. You cannot apply the TWP over the Super Deck.

I have some outdoor teak furniture; a couple of wood stumps I use as stools and and long slab as a low table. Is the 1500 series safe on furniture?

    Yes it is.

    I like a color in between 103 and 120.
Would you mix them 50/50 for me?

We do not custom mix but you can mix them on you own.

We do not have samples of the 200 Series and they do not come in the same colors as the 100 and 1500.

    Tanner:
I have a PT pine dock that is 4 years old now sitting in strong Florida sunshine and has never been treated. I like natural wood tones and don't want to cover it up. I also like the silvery grey dried wood look as it is typically less hot in the sun to walk on barefoot than darker wood tones. I am purchasing a sample of your honey tone, clear, and cape cod gray all in 100 for Florida. I intend to mix the grey with clear in varying amounts and make test samples. Is it safe to assume a 50/50 mix would be half as UV protective? Any words of wisdom for mixing?

Yes, that is correct. It is possible to mix the TWP colors and any color you like will work.

    Rick Krebser:
Is the Rustic Oak 116 the same color and formula as the old Rustic? Why did you change the name?

The 116 is called Rustic or Rustic Oak. Same thing.

Is twp 100 cedartone 101 the same color stain as twp 100 cedartone natural.

Cedartone Natural 101 and Cedartone 101 is the same thing. There is no Cedartone "100".
