I have a 22 yr. old Lodge Pole Pine Cabin(chinked). The porch covered side wall is in good shape. West and South walls exposed and lots of checks and fading. Not sure what stain used by previous owner. Plan to refinish entire house. What would you recommend for prep and stain? Should I media blast first with glass media? I have seen videos that seem to show it works better than corn cob media. Thanks, Mike

Dan, I would not use the Clear as it does not offer UV protection. You can use the same tint for all your wood types.

Ipe deck 3 yrs old. Good condition. I'm going to strip it with restore-a-deck. Last stain was CWf-Flood. One deck is on the south side, full sun, one on the north side with a porch roof. My siding is natural cedar clapboard with Ducks cedar stain.
Should I use the cedar color on both or cedar color on siding and natural on decks?

I also have am alaskin yellow cedar deck that I'm doing the same thing with. This deck has a maranti rail. Should I use clear on the rail?

Doyle, clears will have no UV protection from graying. You must have a tint for that.

We have a new pier & boathouse in East Texas that was completed in January. Which color between clear and cedartone would you recommend and why? We are considering the TWP1500. If we use cedartone will the areas open to the Sun lighten before the area under the boat house roof? It is an open boat house with no sides? Thanks

George, we are an online retailer for TWP and we personally do not have a dealer in your area. Not sure how we can help but shipping to your area takes 2-4 days normally but we cannot guarantee by Wednesday.
