This Combo Kit comes with 5 Gallons of TWP 1500 Series, 1 Restore A Deck Stain Stripper and 1 Restore A Deck Wood Brightener for prepping by removing previous coatings from your wood.

TWP 1500 Colors1 RAD Stripper and 1 RAD Brightener

Restore-A-Deck Stripper and Remover is a powdered concentrated deck stain stripper that makes 5 liquid gallons.

When applied through a pump sprayer, the RAD stripper can remove most transparent, semi-transparent, and semi-solid deck stains. Total coverage is 500-1000 sq feet per 5 gallons when mixed.

The Restore-A-Deck Stain Stripper needs to be neutralized and this combo kit comes with the Restore-a-Deck Wood Brightener. The brightener covers 750-1000 sq feet per 5 gallons when mixed.

1 TWP 1500 Series 5 Gallon Pail

TWP 1500 is a Semi-transparent Oil-Based wood stain and preservative that is allowed in all 50 states.

The TWP® 1500 formula is designed to penetrate better, dry faster, and outperform the previous TWP® 500 series formula.

TWP® 1500 Series is an EPA registered wood preservative which prevents structural damage and wood decay on exterior above ground wood surfaces such as fencing, decking, wood siding, log homes, and roofing. TWP® 1500 Series resists water absorption that causes warping, cracking, and splitting as well as preventing freeze damage in colder climates.

TWP® 1500 Series is a low VOC preservative with special U.V. absorbing pigments that prevent unsightly wood graying, darkening, and fading. The selected mildewcides inhibit the growth of mold and mildew which assist in preventing premature discoloration.

    Hello,  I'm putting up one of the yardistry cedar gazebos which I believe has some type of finish on it already.  Will the 1500 apply over this?  If not and I use the stripper, will the stripper damage my stained concrete patio?

    I last stained my deck in 2020 with TWP 1501 and have 2x unopened 5 gallon cans left over from that staining. They were purchased in September 2020. 
    Will they still be useable?

    Similarly, I have several unopened pots of Restore-a-Deck Cleaner and Brightener from the same date. Same question applies - will they still be useable?

      Shelf life is 2-3 years for the stain so hard to say for certain. Prep will be fine if in powder form.

        Many thanks for your help. The prep looks good. I am very worried about over-applying the product. Do you have any advice about technique to avoid this during application--how much is too much? Rain at 40% chance in forecast about 25 hours after applying would you chance it?

    I have used TWP 101 on my decks.  I live in Colorado and 101 is no longer allowed so I want to switch to 1501.  Do I need to strip and brighten prior to switching to 1501?

    I have stained with 1500 TWP abt year and half ago , I have lots of mildew that will not just rinse off with light pressure washer. Shoukd i strip bd restore before I stain for the second time? I don’t want it any darker so I thought abt using 5 gallons of the color and 5 gallons of the clear. And I want to put 2 coats on it this time. Please let me know if I need to strip first or just use the cleaner. Thanks

      Best to not mix with the clear, use the same color as before. Strip and brighten for prep is the easiest way.

    Hello, I am wondering if you can suggest how I can protect my deck for winter (such as just cleaning and removing mildew) before it gets stripped, brightened, and stained in Spring. I do not see the dry days needed to stain before temps drop. It currently has a semi-transparent stain that is failing in most areas. The deck is 8-10 years old, exposed to full sun/snow, species is probably pine, mold/mildew in some areas.

It sounds like you're saying the stripper needs to be neutralized by the brightener, which is included, but I want to make sure.

    Hi! Looking to bring the color back to our 2 year old red cedar deck. We want it to always look like it currently looks only when wet. Can you recommend how to get that? It has never been sealed or stained since it was installed summers ago. We have these weird white fuzzy areas and wondering what to do about those as well. This May we had an additional deck put on (the raised deck) and want them to match, but not sure if we should do anything to that one just yet. Any advice is appreciated! We live in northern IL and the deck is by a pool and gets full sun most of the summer days. Thank you!

    I’m unsure as to what process / product to use on my dated deck (see pics).
    I would ideally like a low maintenance deck if possible.
    Any help/product recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

      Strip off what you can. Sand the rest off. Brightener when finished. Stain with TWP 1500 Series.

    10 by 50 deck surface new, dry, pressure treated. Support posts same. underneath deck surface 10 foot supports and faces of 13 steps are some brand of green semitransparent stain. 10 by 10 porch grayed never treated 10 yr. old PT wood. what prep products are needed and how much.

    You will need about 3-4 gallons for two coats. You will need the Restore A Deck Stripper and a pressure washer to remove the Behr.
