WOOD BRIGHTENER PLUS PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
  • Removes tannin bleed and water stains
  • Prepares all pressure treated wood surfaces for any type of recoating
  • Restores heavily grayed and weathered wood to its natural color
  • 100% biodegradable - will not harm plants or pets
  • Does not contain chlorine bleach that may damage wood fibers
  • Mixes easily with warm water
Surface Preparation:

1.Pre-wet and rinse the surrounding work area and vegetation to ensure no damage occurs. Do not pre-wet the wood .

2. Mix powder with warm water (6.4 oz. per gallon of water).  Ensure that you use warm and not hot water.  Apply liberally to wood surfaces (always test a small hidden area to see if the desired result will be achieved).  Best application results are with a Deck Sprayer or a synthetic brush. After product has been mixed, you must use the liquid within 48 hours.

3. Wood Brightener Plus should sit for a minimum of 10 minutes.  Do not allow product to dry on surface.  After dwell time you may begin to scrub (NO SCRUBBING NECESSARY WITH USE OF PRESSURE WASHER).  When scrubbing applied areas, use synthetic, stiff bristle brush (do not use a wire or natural bristle brush).

4. Rinse thoroughly with hose or pressure washer.  A pressure washer will show the best results, however, do not exceed 1000 PSI.

If not used properly a pressure washer may damage wood.

If stubborn areas remain, repeat the application process.

NOTE: Use caution when working with Wood Brightener Plus, wet surfaces will be slippery.

Coverage Rate: 150 square feet per gallon.

I have a cedar deck with black powder coated spindles in the railings. Will this product tarnish them if sprayed, or strip the powder coating off of them? The deck is 16 x 20 and has weathered gray over the winter. I am looking to restore it to original cedar tone after each winter. I prefer not to stain it, just maintain the original tone each spring. Thanks!

re: cedar deck with black powder coated spindles in the railings
The brightener usually does not effect black spindles but it would be best to test first. Many of these spindles have a clear coating on them to protect the finish.

To restore annually you would need a wood cleaner and a wood brightener.
