re: In OKC area, which will protect better
Both would work well but I would prefer the 1500 Series.

In OKC area, which will protect better; your 1500 or Storm
Shield? The wood is bare & dry...doesn\'t look like it has been treated in years.

No you cannot add a clear sealer on top. You can do a light cleaning and put on another coat in the Spring. Being that this is IPE, you will need to re coat annually.

Glad it turned out so well!

Storm Shield Follow Up
We applied stripper and brightener to our porch and the bridge to it, and then put on two coats of the Storm Shield Rustic Oak. It looks absolutely gorgeous, and I want to show it off to everyone! I have a question about follow-up on it, though. With winter coming, should I add some kind of clear sealer over this now, to help protect the finish itself? If not that, I was thinking that I should probably at least apply another coat of the Storm Shield in the spring, before the sun starts hitting hard on it again, then maybe another coat another year down the road. Thoughts? (We live in the Sacramento area, with long, hot, dry summers)

I just applied the Defy Epoxy cedar tone this weekend and it looks fantastic! We had some strong thunderstorms about 24 hours after I applied it and when I checked in the morning the water had beaded up beautifully. Only complaint is that 5 gallons didn\'t provide nearly as much coverage as advertised so I\'ll be getting another 5 gallons this week.

We used the Defy Epoxy cedar color on our fence about 4 years ago. It lasted very well. This year we are going to do a light wash and recoat the fence. The video tutorials are very helpful;D
