Deck Maintain is a product designed to help sealers and paints maintain their beauty, by removing the dirt, dust, and grime that collects on surfaces. Simply spray on cleaner and use a stiff bristle brush and garden hose or a high-pressure washer to rinse the surface thoroughly.

DECK MAINTAIN PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
  • Professional deck cleaning solution designed to help sealers and stains maintain their beauty
  • Extends the life of expensive stains and sealer
  • Removes dust, dirt and grime from wood
  • 100% biodegradable - will not harm plants or pets
  • Does not contain chlorine bleach that may damage wood fibers
  • Cleans latex and acrylic based paint
Surface Preparation:

1. Prewet and rinse surrounding work area and vegetation to ensure no damage occurs.
2. Mix 1:1 to make 2 gallons.  Apply liberally to wood surfaces with a Deck Sprayer.
3. Deck Maintain has no dwell time.  Once it is applied you may begin to scrub with a soft bristle brush (do not use a wire or natural bristle brush).
4. Rinse thoroughly with hose or pressure washer.  A pressure washer will show the best results, however, do not exceed 500 PSI. If stubborn areas remain, repeat the 3 step application process.

* Use caution when using Deck Maintain.  Wet surfaces will be slippery.

Coverage Rate: Approximately 100-250 square feet per gallon.
Application:
  • Mix 1 gallon solution to 1 gallon water
  • Apply liberally to surface at 100-250 sq. ft per gallon with a pump sprayer
  • Once applied, scrub with a soft bristle brush
  • Rinse thoroughly with a pressure washer or hose

I have a mahogany covered porch floor. Someone I met online who has the same told me that she used your stain 5 years ago and it has held up great. She also told me that all she has to do to restain it (which she has done twice so far) is sweep it off and then go over it with a rag that just has water on it to get any remaining loose dirt and then put on more stain. Is that all that is necessary before reapplying your product?

...
Well that is not exactly the recommended way for re coating.

Best to use the deck maintain to prep the wood for another coat. This will help open the pores and remove any dirt buildup.

New Deck Prep
I just completed a 600 sf PTP deck and was wondering if the brightner or deck maintain product would be best to remove the mill glaze and prep for twp1500. Thanks!

re: New Deck Prep
I would use both. Clean first with the deck maintain then use the brightener.

New PT Printing
I am ready to stain the floor of my 20' gazebo. The PT decking boards have printing from the mill. Will the maintain or brightener remove the print?

re: New PT Printing
No the cleaner or brightener will not remove the ink. You will probably need to sand those ink marks off.
